A stay-at-home-Saturday...

Well, I am trying to backtrack a bit and put pics with these posts...so this one might not get any for a few days...(nevermind...I multi-tasked and got some pics on here during the movie :))

We had hoped to head to the lake today and meet Nina and Poppy on the boat...but there was talk of heavy rain all day so we postponed til tomorrow.  Ended up being a pretty nice day...of course.  But we just laid low most of the day. We had lots of to-dos to do...dishes, laundry, homework, violin, bday gifts to make for a friend, etc, etc.  Those things just take up the day.  They did.  We had a nice bfast crepe bar (sorta sleeping in...not enough)...and had a yummy lunch too with our fav. sandwich ring again.  The kids helped daddy make ice cream, that didn't up being frozen enough to enjoy today...but Ash finally made us the lemonade whoopie pies she's been wanting to make us...they were yummy!  And we had a nice chili dinner at home together.  It was good to be home, but being home also means all the to-dos are staring you in the face and you feel a bit bogged down by them.  Tis life.  We got a few things checked off the list.  We still have a "few" more left :)  Hays did take Shelb out for the first time by themselves...to SB to get fancy coffee drinks and to Office Depot to get a new fancy folder for Shelb.  Then back out to get a friend a bday gift.  Independent girls.  Tonight has been movie  night...for us all with Kung Fu Panda 3 and then now for Hays and Kev and I with Batman meets Superman. Tomorrow will be a busy day of church and boating...
