Shelb-the newest Steg driver!

So proud of our Shelb for passing her learning permit test today just in the nick of time to take drivers ed next week. We’ve never cut it this close. Glad she passed it on the first test bc I guess many Indiana 15 teen year olds don’t. Wish us luck with two kids behind the wheel. Thankfully one takes a German subway most days :)

Love the lazy days of summer!  Wish it could be like this always.  We had a nice mix of rest and chores. Just wish we could have a year like this with no school or work.

One year of preschool teaching under my belt!

Woohoo!  It’s officially summer for me!  All done with preschool.  It’s been a crazy wacky year of teaching but I’ve been blessed to do it with one of my best friends and God really taught me a lot about myself in the process.  I don’t think I’ve ever gotten so much love and hugs from kids and moms as I did today.  Feeling grateful. ❤️

Cspan award day!

The big Cspan bus from Washington DC came today to award Dylan and his two buds their prize money for their video.  So fun!

Lego half bday party done!

Woohoo!  That was a wild one!  But it’s done!  Hurrah for half bdays in warmer weather!

Not the happiest mother’s day :(

I somehow came down with the flu on top of recovering from a nasty bladder inf. this weekend. Not the ideal way to spend mom’s day all curled up in bed with a fever and pain. But I guess I did get my wish to be home all day.  That’ll teach me to not be more specific with my wishes! Hope all the other moms out there had a healthier day than me!

She’s let us know all day that it’s “one more day til her birthday”!  I’m not sure I know a person who loves her bday more than Shelb! 😂🎉 And in one hr she’ll be 15!   Love our feisty almost 15 yr old! 🥰

Ash ran her first 5K today and got 2nd!   Yay her!

Shelby’s drive-in early bday party!

Had a great time last night seeing End Game at the drive-in for Shelby’s 15th bday party.  I’m just proud of us for celebrating early!  Usually she has a party a half or 3/4 year after her her actual bday. She planned most of it...a couple best friends, pizza, movie, sleepover.  Easy.  I like easy.
