The wonderful, yet often hairpulling life story of a stay-at-home mom of five cuties (Hailey, Shelby, Dylan, Ashley & Logan) and the journey through life raising our family with the best hubby around (love you, Kevin), and enjoying the blessings God provides to us daily while trying to keep it all in perspective when bumps in the road arise!

Venice is lovely and hot!
We toured the basilica, the palace and walked over a 100 bridges at least. I took a nap too. Yippee!

Germany loves us! π€’π₯°
Food poisoning from a brezel, still no luggage and heading to Venice early in the morn. Plus we seemed to anger some German ladies today. Nothing like going out with a bang! π

A beautiful Bavarian day!
On the train half the day and off to see the “Disney” castle and the alps near the Austria border. Great food and breathtaking views. Wow! It was like being in the Sound of music and also Snow White! Lol π. I love Germany! π©πͺ

Off to Munich
We’re in Munich now. Not my most fav city. The people are rude(r) and it’s very congested and city like. I miss my little historical Dresden! But the sights are still beautiful and the food great. And I found a dutch cheese store so I was in heaven! ππ§. I almost got Kev some lederhosen too! Wouldn’t he look handsome!? On a different note, we made an unexpected trip to see Dachau—the first concentration camp. Sobering and unsettling to say the least. Words cannot describe it.

Our final day with Nina and Pops here :(
A great day of church, shopping, and hanging out at the creek and waterfall. Dylan and pops even caught two snakes. Ending the night with a movie (Dumbo). We’re gonna miss Nina and Pops being here. It’s been wonderful!❤️❤️
Saturday—lots of violin, Shelb’s concert, Culver’s, a wedding, and lots of park fun (tennis, baseball, basketball...)
It’s great having Nina and Pops here for all the fun and busyness!

A nice Nina and Pops day and Hailey graduated again! π
A full day for us. But a good one. Nina and I and ash and Lo headed to the mall and hobby lobby for back to school shopping (blah!) but good to have their first day of school outfits already and grateful Nina was along bc I really loathe shopping more and more every year. Then headed to hobby lobby where I found some housing bargains for my bare kitchen wall. Then off to the animal shelter after violin academy...had to have Shelb along to look at the kitties. We found some darling kittens that could have easily found a home with us. Maybe someday... pops and Dyl fished at Griffy lake (only caught 3...bummer) and then mowed the lawn and went to the ymca for more b-ball. They’ve been a busy duo this week. We ended the night driving to Spencer and going to the Tivoli theater to see toy story 4. A great movie. And McD’s for dessert and Big Macs π. We love having Nina and pops here! Hailey spent her morning graduating from Palucca. She now officially has her first German diploma (in ballet apprenticeship). Phew. We almost thought she wouldn’t pass. lol! Can’t believe we’ll be in Germany in a week and she only has one week of dancing!

A parade, fair, fireworks and a fantastic 4th!πΊπΈ❤️π
What a busy day but so many fun memories. Kev and the boys were in the annual btown parade. Ash and I opted out since Nina and pops were here and I had to rush shelbers to violin intensive, but we did all watch and cheer from the sidelines. Then we raced off to an afternoon at the fair. I was grateful the rain stayed away but it was hot and stifling. Worse than fl. But we ate good fair food and rode lots of rides and saw all kinds of animals. Loggy came away with lots of free stuff too. The kid has no fear asking for candy or anything. He almost walked away with some pop sockets and jewelry. He thought everything at the fair was free! π€£. Good times. And the best part was having Nina and Pops along. They make life funnier and fuller. But I think we are all worn out. Ended the night with playing in our lil pool and new swingset and then some pop it’s and sparklers in the yard and fireworks in Ellettsville. We’re exhausted. I love the 4th. Just missed my German girl π’π©πͺ
