Igloo date night 😍

Finally after months of saying I wanted to eat in an igloo and canceling last week during a thunderstorm we were able to enjoy a little igloo warmth on a rainy night. Of course the weather was stinky again but at least there was no thunder and lightning this time. It was actually my first full gluten-free meal outside of the house at a nice restaurant. And uptown Café was very accommodating… We had everything from appetizers to dessert.  And technically there was real no reason for the date night (well, partly due to our adventure book)… No birthday no Valentine’s Day… Just a nice evening on the town... though we could be celebrating that we have been parents for 21 years and that our newly legal girl was the first in our family to be Covid vaccinated today...yay!!

Love reminders

 

I’ve had a lot of quieter moments this year… It is a blessing and also a curse… Being alone with my mind is not the best thing sometimes. But I have I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of a few Bible studies that just landed in my lap which I know is a God thing. One of them is reading this book by Lisa Terkeurst called “it’s not supposed to be this way”. I have kind of felt that on a minor level this year with my health stuff... nobody plans for stuff like that in their life. But I love how she put it in this chapter. I didn’t have a highlighter so you’ll have to bear with my purple pen LOL I definitely think I am walking in the “I don’t know” right now. But I have a feeling that God has me right where he wants me.  Sometimes you have to be in valleys to appreciate the mountains 🥰
