Covid 353–worn out Sunday

 Well apparently one of the kids took this picture of me without me knowing.🤣😴(I almost look dead LOL) But this kind of sums up the day for me. I am exhausted. Couldn’t even stay awake during a church service. Thankfully it was at home but still. And yes we did actually go to church… But I was so exhausted I had to come home to watch service after volunteering. This was one of those days that God carried me through because we had a lot going on and I was in no shape to do any of it… Still struggling with some terrible brain fog and I think a lack of a well-balanced diet has just taken it’s toll. Thankfully Saint Kevin was my angel on earth 😇. I’ll try to post some pictures of the last few days later this week… But for now I will just say that my favorite thing today was singing to some wonderful ladies from our church. Kev had to chauffeur us around because I just wasn’t even able to drive but I was grateful Ash and these girls were willing to bring such joy!  I know if I were isolated and older during these Covid times I would really appreciate some sweet kids singing to me.🥰

Covid 352–A great scout derby race, basketball, volleyball, double track runners, a sleepover, a bike ride in nice weather, A culvers celebration, etc

 Well the days are full… I think each of the kids had one or two activities today… But somehow we still ended up with a bunch of free time at the end of the day… But that was actually likely because I said no to a couple things. It was nice to be able to just take a family bike ride when the weather was almost 60°. Here’s a few pictures of the day but I will post more later.The best thing of the day was watching Logan do his derby race on the TV. Only daddy was allowed to go in person… But I actually think we had more fun watching him on Facebook live because we could woop and holler for him!  We were so excited when he won first place in his division! He was so hopeful he was going to get a trophy but he missed it by like one hundredths of a point. But he did get a very nice medal and we were so proud of him for how awesome he did making his car all by himself. He really did almost all of the major work by himself.  Oh and on a sidenote I got to eat my first gluten-free bun with a burger! I’m not usually a big burger person but when you can’t have a burger for six weeks you tend to want one. It was good!  Thanks griller Dylan!🙌💪😎

Covid 351–surprise party for Loggy! 🎉🙌🥰

                                           

                                               

Well we did it… We pulled one over on the old Loggy!  We surprised him with a belated birthday party with a bunch of his friends at jumpin Joeys! 🎉🙌. Sweet little guy has only asked a couple times if he was going to have a party this year. To which I said “probably not because of Covid”. But the more I thought about it I’m pretty sure Covid is here to stay so we really need to try to get back into a routine. I wasn’t ready to really tackle a house party this year for multiple reasons but you also have to know that I’m not a big fan of having parties at places like this. No offense.  But I quickly came to the realization that it’s just plain easy to let someone else do all the setting up and cleaning up! LOL! And I thought it’d be a ton of fun to surprise him with it all. Knowing full well that seven and eight-year-olds are not awesome secret keepers! But we didn’t plan it until this week so it was sort of easy to keep the secret. And he seemed genuinely surprised when he came in and saw all his friends holding posters and yelling for him. It didn’t even matter that he had a mask, I could tell by his eyes but he was so happy! I think the hug to daddy said at all. Bless his heart! I had tears in my eyes… It honestly was the best start of any party we’ve ever had!   But it was all run run run and fun fun fun after that! He hardly slowed down at all to take a picture… So even though we were at a jumping/sliding place I think I only have one blurry picture of them going down a slide LOL. All they wanted to do is play games and buy tokens and get tickets. So finally I told him to look on the floor for stray tokens LOL yes stellar Covid mom moment.  🤣😖😷And caution went to the wind when we blew out the candles on the cake. Thankfully I had made a cake just for blowing on and not eating and all the kids just backed up while he blew… It was a last-minute decision to even make a cake....but I felt like I was doing nothing for this party so I at least had to make something even if we didn’t eat it. And boy are those kids such a sweet group and it was good for all their sweet minds and souls to be able to play together. Half of them are in different classes this year and not able to even see each other except for on a video screen or across a line at recess. It was so fun to see them interact. And Logan was in true funny form.  😜So grateful to all his friends who were able to come. I tried to keep it to just people he comes in contact with on a regular basis… But we still ended up having a pretty large group.   Love you sweet Logan… I remember you saying last year that it would be fun to have a surprise party… And I think you were the perfect boy to have a surprise party for! 🤣😆🥰🙌🎉 i’ll try to post more pictures this weekend...
