Well I only have the energy to post a bunch of random pictures from the day… I think my favorite days have become Mondays and Wednesdays because I like having half of my kids home. The days just seem more laid-back and the mornings seem easier. Not much to show for the day. I actually had time to do almost all the laundry and dishes and wash off cat cages and take care of six cats LOL. Never would’ve thought I’d be doing the cat thing a year ago ha ha. The highlight of the day was of course Dyl getting his Covid test. He is now getting daily texts from the department of health given that he has a mystery close positive contact on the soccer team. While I understand the need for privacy in this situation it would really be nice to know who this kid is that apparently is a close contact. Because these Covid tests are kind of invasive especially for kids. All Dylan said afterwards is that he lost a piece of his brain. LOL poor kid. Shelby had her first day of split cross country practice which kind of broke her heart I think. Never has the team had to split before sectionals but in order to keep the team safe for Covid reasons they decided this was the best option. I know she misses her friends in the other group because they are all like family… And it’s like their family is broken now. She also had her weekly orchestra practice on the football field. Ashley had her musical practice at church. And Dylan had his final zoom scout meeting. Of course his first in person meeting is next week and he will still be in quarantine. I will say, the nice thing about him being in quarantine is that I get out of a few things that were on my agenda for the week and weekend. I think that is kind of God clearing my schedule. Also found a few pics of Loggy at school on Facebook. I never get on fb except to look at his class page. I’m grateful to get glimpses of his day. I miss not helping in his classroom. But I do love being home. ❤️
The wonderful, yet often hairpulling life story of a stay-at-home mom of five cuties (Hailey, Shelby, Dylan, Ashley & Logan) and the journey through life raising our family with the best hubby around (love you, Kevin), and enjoying the blessings God provides to us daily while trying to keep it all in perspective when bumps in the road arise!

Covid 201–Shelby’s county meet—county champs
So proud of our fav runner and her awesome final run of her junior year at the county meet—-her team won and I think she came in 10th place so she helped them win. Super thankful I scored a ticket from our south friends so that I could watch her run. Can’t believe some xc meets don’t allow spectators. Crazy.

Covid 200–blah
200 days of Covid. Blah. And today was one of those days. It finally rained and was gloomy out and I was feeling awful so I slept a couple hours. Rarely do that but needed it. Two kids home, two at school. One in quarantine. One out of quarantine at college. The day seemed long. It was shelbs unofficial last xc practice day. County is tomorrow. Dyls last practice should have been today. Alas it’s over. Dumb Covid. He did get out and work on b-ball and is teaching Ashley. Her b-ball season may he canceled due to not enough interest. Poor girl can’t catch a break with sports. Loggy is loving ymca soccer. He got 4 of the 5 goals for his team and said he’s going to be better than Dylan. 🤣love that confidence!💪and we actually ate a home cooked meal together. 🥰
