Starting over...

Well, before I post some pics...I just have to say...sometimes it would be nice to start over...just get rid of all your old stuff and get back to the basic necessities in your home...no extra fluff or clutter.  This is how I feel over the stress of getting rid of a mountain-full of clutter at Kev's work (aka our free storage unit since 2003)....some of which we haven't seen since 2003
But, back to more fun things...some pics of the day...of our yummy bfast...we don't usually have anything fancy before church, but we had our Cami guest so we had p-cakes and bacon.  Yumm!
(D was better, but we had him eat in the other room so as not to infect :))
 Cracking themselves up over lunch...at their i-pad self-videos :)
Secluded to the bedroom for his corndogs:)  I think he actually likes being served any food and drink he wants in the comfort of our bedroom while watching tv :)  I know I would! Is it bad to wish to be a little sick?
Seriously...they are so funny...they came up with their own talk show today..."The Cami and Shelby Show" :)  Hilarious!  Maybe they will be the next big thing in NYC!?
 Cracking themselves up!
Back to the farmhouse storage unit...Kev put some of our stuff in the "Bermuda Triangle" (basically the front lawn where "things disappear":))....I think these things were here 5 minutes before they were gone!  I remember when we got that kitchen for Hays when she was 2 and we lived in our small Bloomy apt.  Three girls later, it is now someone else's toy :(
Bye, bye tool workshop.  It was a hand-me-down from family, but we just cannot clutter up our home with it...Loggy is happy with cars, trains and planes and those are much smaller....this too was taken within minutes in the Bermuda Triangle...
I think Kev was the grumpiest today getting rid of old things...even things made by family...sorry....we just cannot keep all this stuff.  Our basement used to be our crutch, but now this stuff needs to go.
He was such a good boy watching Scooby :)
One of three trips to Goodwill with a full Yukon!  Not easy, but necessary :)
We can see the floor in this "storage room" now...only Kev's stuff is left...poor guy is the packiest pack rack :(  He's got a lot of work to do this week.
Back home to enjoy the beautiful day after a cruddy, rainy one yesterday....Cami and Lo are buds :)
Practicing to be American Ninja Warrior?

 Love our playground!
Proud of our masculine boy :)
Cami made the sweetest video of Logan...which also had Kev and I in it :)
Lo got rascally in Hays' room and sharpeed her desk (thank goodness for my best friend, Magic Eraser!) :)
Enjoying a delicious grilled chix meal on a beautiful day.  Only thing missing is our Hays! :)

He was very disobedient tonight...daddy had to discipline...though he (dada) doesn't look too sad about it :(
 Fun in the backyard :)
And finally time to settle down...daddy had to go to work and Cami left us :(
We are not doing so swell on the potty :(  But we did try once today...we mostly just like the idea of putting the tp in the toilet...
"Hey, what are you looking at?" :)
Big bro read the potty book to him tonight...he liked it :)
LOL...he tooted on the potty for the first time and it surprised him!  Also coincidentally the book talked about tooting at that same time!
Can you tell what else we did today and are planning?  We met with a carpenter to build a "built-in" entertainment system for our living room.  YAY!
And a couple pics of our New Yorker :)  We had to pretty much beg for them, but she reluctantly sent us a couple...of her standing in her dorm room with her loot from her travels in Lincoln Center today...to Starbucks, Duane Reade and Rite Aid?  And of her dinner...I can't remember where...maybe it was at her cafeteria?....but looks yummy.  I was hoping for an outdoor pic on Lincoln Center, but a pic of her near a garbage can is just as nice :)  Love you, Hays!

Sooo.....emotions are a bit high as we get rid of lots of stuff....some of it with precious memories.  I hate that it's so hard parting with stuff, but we need to keep plowing through it.  All I can say is that I am glad it's fall break and we can sleep in all week :)

Our Fall Break Saturday...

 Some potty training...
 Unpacking a storage area...
A good boy amusing himself so we could unpack :)...new/old books were an awesome find!
After a few hours we could see the window in that room!
The girls were great playing AG dolls all day and making funny videos...
Oh, and we talked to our Hays tonight...she missed getting tix to the ballet so she was just hanging out in the dorms :(  But she did send us a pic of her at the Gala last week...I am not sure who the other girl is...forgot to ask....

More pics later...but too tired to post now...

The germs are here...right in time for fall break :(

Well, the day started off good...7 quarters for the snaggle tooth!  7 apparently is the magic number for the 7 year old!  All smiles with her double gap :)
I thought it would be a successful potty day...he looked pretty happy here :)  But all he really wanted to do was put TP in the toilet...
So...we got out Hailey to supervise and make sure we didn't fiddle with tp.  I thought Lo would hate her in there...he got pretty mad at first. :)
So...I put Hailey back in her room. And he went in and dragged her back into the bathroom...
And back she went to supervise from the sink...with her hand in the skittle jar.  Sneaky Clone Hailey!
Shortly after this we got the call from school that D had a 102.2 fever.  Poor kid. I had a feeling about him this morning when he was almost crying with a headache.  He didn't want to admit to anything bc he had a sleepover tonight with his best friend that had been planned for weeks...and he had been counting down the days.  Ugh, bad timing :(  Fall break is not the time for germs :( :(

On the bright side, our toothless wonder became Summit Star today...she was thrilled!!
And we have a new addition to the Steg house for the weekend.  Cami!  She fits right in with the crazies here.  And Lo loves her. She hugged her almost right away!
 Crazy gymnast!
Proof of the love for Cami...the best thing about her is she loves to play ball...bonus for Lo!
lol...Shelb showing off her gymnastics skills!
We played monkey in the middle.
We have new swings at our playground!  YAY!
All Lo wanted to do was kick the ball while on the wings :)
Big girls on the swings :)
 Toothless wonder on the swing!

Showing their tough guy "girl" faces :)
After the park we found a surprise at our front door step!  A gift from Sue Sue! We had no idea what it was, but Lo was pretty excited to tear it open!
His very own Potty book!  YAY!  Hopefully this will help him not fiddle with tp and instead tinkle in the pot!
Ready for their movie marathon :)
In no mood for potty training tonight :(  Poor kid :(
My poor boy...he was screaming tonight bc his head hurt so badly.  I wish I could take his pain away...sort of a sad way to start our week break.  Ugh.

Peeing in the Pot Day 3

Well, this "getting back into a normal sched" is for the birds!  I feel more exhausted now than last week when I was planning all sorts of things for the busy weekend.  Ugh!  At any rate, I am glad the week is almost done and our fall break (a week off!) is almost here!  Loggy and I started off our day going out to SB with one of my nearest and dearest friends.  I haven't met her for coffee since our house was halfway done!  Gosh, time flies!  Loggy was awesome amusing himself so we could talk.  He colored and stickered things...and stacked his markers as tall as he could! lol :)
I raced through Kroger in enough time to see my boy for lunch. I got a really cute pic of him, but it was totally blurry so this is the best pic I have...of him torturing his friends with wafers...a fav. past-time of his.  His friends LOVE the wafers he brings every day.  It was pretty comical to watch them do what he said just so they could have a small treat!
Naps...I am not sure they are worth it.  I have to lay down with him in order for him to go to sleep and I am asleep before him...and it totally wears me out for the rest of the day.  But he is the cutest napper so maybe it's worth it! :)
 Some lost "snaggle" today! YAY!
Whohoo!  The ol' tooth that was cracked many years ago with a fall at violin finally exited her mouth!  We have been counting the days.  Many thanks to her best friend's mom for making Rice Krispie bday treats today that helped that thing wiggle out!  It was quite traumatic I guess...her friend's mom and teacher both emailed me about it. :)
Her new look w/o "snaggle" :)
Another day of Potty Training...another day of of being bored on the pot...but this time we left the TP intact...and we made faces....
Hey, at least we have fun on the pot...even if we don't tinkle in it! :)

We tried a different route this time...I really thought it would work!  He likes to pee in a cup in the shower and this is similar.  Nothing.
But he did get an A for trying...and a skittle! :)  And my Shelb had her first middle school core group.
Oh, how I wish our fall break was laid back...we could use that rest next week...but, alas, we are finally unpacking our last storage areas.  Not-so-fun :(
