Covid 176--Goodybe Virtual Learning (maybe) :). Hello, Long holiday weekend!

Whohoo!  Big day...last day of virtual learning (we hope) for at least Lo and Ash...though we have heard rumblings for the last 24hours about possibly this undoing itself on Monday night again.  Craziness. I can handle decisions when they are made, but this back and forth uncertainty makes me dizzy and ill.  Mind games.  Anyway...it's feeling a little bittersweet bc I do love my kids all home together, but I know school is where my kids need to be.  They just really flourish there.  So we'll see what happens by Monday night.  Crazy IU covid numbers.  Yay for the weekend...a long weekend with Nina and Pops here, a couple activities to go to, car shopping for Shelby and maybe some relaxing. It's what we all need. This week has seemed long and stressful. I thought a vacay last weekend would help, but as wonderful as that was it was just not enough rest.  Never is.  Here's to getting into a better routine next week...if that's even possible!  Oh and prayers for a sick kitty in our garage who needs extra tlc.  It's funny how a jobless mom can become a teacher and a cat nurse very quickly....not to mention other odd jobs that fall into my lap.  I don't think I was created to rest. :(

Covid 175--We've got the virtual learning blues

Really trying to be upbeat about having (most) of my family under one roof, but we've found ourselves in a bit of a rut as the days drag on.  The days seem short for Ashley, medium for Dyl and super long for Lo and Shelb.  There should be some happy medium.  And there should be some breaks in the day where we can go outside, enjoy the nice weather before it's gone...enjoy Nina and Pops before they have gone home. I am so glad tomorrow is Friday.  We need a weekend.  And if things continue on in the virtual way (which I hear rumblings they will thanks to crazy IU)...we must make some changes to make our days seem brighter.  My goal is for Logan to have half the work and double the free time to play and be creative.  For Ash to find some fun things to do in her extra free time (or maybe to keep baking for us since she's become the master baker!)...bc right now volleyball, tennis, etc are all "not in service due to covid"...for Shelb to find more peace in her days and sleep in her nights...and for Dylan to just stay injury free for the rest of the year!  I don't think any of this is too much to ask.  lol. On a side note, we have another injured cat in our garage.  I'm a glutton for helping cats these days! :). And the best news of the day is that Olive Garden must have known we needed a bottle of wine and sent us a free one for dinner...I'm not much of a wine drinker, but we toasted to school being back in session next week (probably prematurely it turns out!) LOL. But free celebration wine was nice!  Loggy was so funny...he thought it was the fancy grape juice we often get and he said "definitely get me some of that with my hot dog!" :). Oh, covid...you have made our lives so odd these past 6 months!

Covid 174–a rough virtual reentry

Well reentry into reality is never really fun but even more so when you’re back to virtual school the day after your mini vacay.  Poor Loggy and I both cried today but in the end he told kev he had a pretty good day.  Lol.  Kids are funny like that.  But I feel for him bc ash is done at 9am and he’s not even done at 4pm. It’s too much for these little ones.  Big ones too.  Shelby up til all hours of the night.  I’m worn.  My mind is a blur.  Grateful nina and pops are here to lighten the load.  And grateful for good friends who fill my cup.  Love my girls night out 💗
