The wonderful, yet often hairpulling life story of a stay-at-home mom of five cuties (Hailey, Shelby, Dylan, Ashley & Logan) and the journey through life raising our family with the best hubby around (love you, Kevin), and enjoying the blessings God provides to us daily while trying to keep it all in perspective when bumps in the road arise!

Happy Early Vet's Day and a sweet prayer request :)
I am taking a blog hiatus, but I still will post from time to time. Today we observed Early Vet's Day at our schools. Shelb had the honor of introducing the pledge of allegiance (a duty of the NJHS Prez!)...she did great! Lo and I were honored to see her do it. I was a little bummed the other kids' school convocation was at the same time bc I LOVE the bagpipes they usually have there...but I can't get to everything all the time. :) The sweetest part of my day was when Loggy quietly asked me to pray for him...."mama, can you ask someone in heaven to not give me any bad dreams tonight". Such a sweet request from a sweet guy who has been plagued by bad dreams lately (possibly from too much Scooby?) So we prayed this very prayer tonight and hope he has a better night's rest! Onto our busy weekend...full of strings concerts (D and Shelb) and a big chili supper at school...been working on auction baskets all week. I taught my first preschool class yesterday and it gave me a new found respect for teachers, especially those who teach 3 year olds! :) I am wiped! Looking forward to a restful Sunday!

I love him
There is no doubt that one guy was created for me. I sometimes don't appreciate enough that gift God created for me.
But I want him to know I love him. Dearly. He married a mess of a woman who I know challenges him daily...but he never wavers. He loves me. Deeply.
It's no secret I have been struggling lately.
He is my rock. He lets me rest, wipes away my tears, lets me fall into his arms.
Today he bought me flowers.
I have gone on the record as saying I am not a "flower girl".
But he took my breath away a little bit.
I guess he knew what I needed. A day brightener on a dreary day.
He is my light on the dark days.
Love him. So much.
And miss him too...tonight he's gone (at a sleep study at the hospital)....not fun for him, not fun for me (I miss him)...but he's doing it so hopefully he and I can sleep better. I love him for that too. Marriage isn't easy, but if you find the right person, it's a path worth traveling. :) I'm glad to be traveling this mess of life with this guy. :)

A beautiful fall day...finally
Finally we have some normal fall weather...beautiful leaves, almost 60 out and even some sun...and a walk through campus with my lil' guy. He was so sweet...skipping the whole way. All the students commented on what a happy boy he was. Oh to be so carefree. If we could all stay that way forever. I like to bottle up these moments and remember them always....oh happy day...oh happy weekend :)

A restful, rainy/snowy November day
Well I rested today. Thank you, Kev for that. He was home for one final day of home-working after our van has been in the shop for 10 days. I was grateful he was home. I can normally sleep for an hour in the morn if I need to, but he even picked up Lo from school and let me sleep an extra 2hrs. I needed it. This virus I have will not go away without rest. And as much as I hate sitting or laying around I had to do it. Thankfully it was also an extremely gloomy rainy (and snowy!) day. Very grateful it was today and not this way on Halloween. It was pretty icky weather. Great for sleeping. Grateful for rest. This 2 week sickness has really dampened my morale. I hope things are on the upswing, bc like it or not the holidays are around the corner...yikes. Where does time go?
